Collective Intelligence 2.0

[click 'view>full' to enlarge] This picture shows the ecosystem which I'm trying to develop on my new vertical blog to enhance a collective intelligence in the tv & new media business. This is also a tentative model for information workflows in an open world where every stakeholder inside and outside the company contributes and interacts thus maximizing the global knowledge in a specific field.

Mobile office 2.0 - 20x25cm high tech to work on anything anytime anywhere

I always carry my new mobile office with me. It consists of the latest technology to be able to blog and work on anything, anytime, anywhere with anybody. With it I can achieve and instantly communicate the most productive and creative work while sitting in the sun at a café terrace. The whole equipment cost me less than 500€ and fits in a 25cm cm tiny bag. Here are the details:
1x Asus Eee pc, tiny pc: 299€ - the perfect tiny pc which fits in one hand and with which you can work and connect to the world everywhere on the go
1x Logitech Io, electronic pen: 149€ - I write some documents and mails with it or draw some sketches and things get uploaded automatically to my pc.
1x Fujitsu Siemens, tiny wireless mouse 19€ - the ideal companion for my tiny pc
1x Eastpak, tiny bag: 25€ - my whole equipment fits in perfectly
1x Idea, blocknote: 2€ - sometimes you further need some paper
TOTAL fixed costs: 498€ + variable working costs: 1 drink at a café terrace (4€) + wifi network (free)
Additionally to this already perfect equipment, I also use a free iPhone I got from my company, a dream phone. With it I can connect to the Web anytime anywhere and read long articles without any annoyance. Last but not least, with my Samsung 1GB USB stick I can record mp3 voice memos on the go. For webconferencing, my Eee pc and its integrated webcam are perfect. This is for the hardware. On the software front, I use free online suites, mainly Zoho (everything there for free, including all kinds of documents, project management, CRM, database, wiki etc) and Google Apps with which I also work offline (my offline documents automatically synchronize with mw online documents). I also use Diigo to highlight, bookmark and prepare nice reports on whatever subject. Last but not least, my Netvibes intelligence platform is my eagle eye to track all worldwide news and market trends I need for my work.

We dont like Olivier Martinez - Black Thursday for Bloggers

A Paris court ruled on Thursday that user-generated website Fuzz had violated French actor Olivier Martinez privacy by hosting a link to a report about him. The court ruled that fuzz.fr made an "editorial" decision to link to a story on a gossip news site about French actor Olivier Martinez and his relationship with singer Kylie Minogue - and was therefore responsible for its content. For your information, Fuzz.fr is a Digg-like user-generated news portal and has been closed since then. Its founder, top blogger Eric Dupin of Presse Citron has been charged. The French "blogosphere" reacted massively against the decision as you can see in this video (a nice snowball is on its way). I also feel this decision is absurd and this is a real threat against web 2.0 entrepreneurship and open communication by the masses through blogging. J´aime pas Olivier Martinez.

My Desktop 2.0: meta information and blogging made easy

The picture below reflects what I see everyday: my cyber desktop for perfect blogging sessions and to track/manage my web information.

1: Utilize Flock, this is definitely the best navigator, especially for blogging, web search, multimedia and social activities. Everything in one hand.
2: Flock horizontal favorite folders with 3D navigation.
3: Flock Multimedia bar with drag & drop facility and drop down search engine menu including Flickr, Wikipedia, Facebook, Picasa, YouTube (Flock).
4: Flock Multitab navigation. Always keep Netvibes (RSS aggregation), Zoho (Online office), Springnote (Wiki), Mind42 (Mapping) and my blog opened.
5: Social bookmarking Diigo (the best one, better than Delicious) to keep track of everything with navigation per tag and text highlighting.
5: My intelligent agent Yoono keeps suggesting other pages similar to the one I´m currently viewing.
6: Flock Sidebar with drag & drop facility to park pictures and links temporally and get notice of people I know in my networks.
7: Transparent LiveSticker wheel menus with instant RSS news and watch alerts.
8: My blog with tag navigation to find previous articles and subjects anytime.
9: Windows LiveWriter, my editor to push information to my blogs.
10: Skype for phoning, video conference and as an instant text & file messenger.

Best Informed with Wikio Europa

French Startup Wikio is going to the next stage to position its portal as the best news portal in Europe. They opened today their European private Beta to 200 testers (I´m one of them). The new interface is nice and clearly ahead of the current version. The integration of all kinds of information is successful, you easily access to your favorite topics in seconds. This is a portal which aggregates text, pictures and videos from unlimited sources. You can propose your own sources and create your own pages. This is a tag and RSS driven portal where you can pick and filter whatever information in order to match perfectly with your needs. Furthermore, every article is subject to voting and ranking. So, you find here in one single place probably the best way to track and find your favorite blogs, news and subjects. The beta version will extend to other languages in few days. By the way, I have 10 invitations for you to join this beta version. So, if you have interest, please let me know through your comments under this post.

This is a Screenshot of Wikio Europa homepage (where I set new tabs with my subjects at the top):

2008-2009 resolutions of a two-year-old blogger

image

After two years web 2.0 addiction and with the new year start I feel like going to the next level of blogging on the digital revolution (I suppose this is is the natural lifecycle of a blogger, is it? is there some blogger lifecycle model somewhere?). Well, for 2008-2009 I feel like putting some more serious points on the agenda like this:
1. Start caring for my traffic 2. Increase the dialogue with my readers and with other bloggers in order to start a true conversation and have more fun 3. Build a blog community of digital experts 4.  Start a wiki-book for marketers and sales managers 2.0. This leads me to having some questions for you:1. Does it sound like serious addiction?  2. Are you addicted the same way? 3. Do you feel like joining?  4.Pick which subject? 5. Should I drop?
